If you get an offer for your top preference, that's great! Your offer may be conditional or unconditional. If it's unconditional, all you'll need to do is accept your offer before it lapses. If it's conditional, you'll need to meet any additional requirements to secure your place. If you've had a change of mind since submitting your application, we suggest that you accept your offer, then apply for the course you really want in the next available round. If you're made an offer to your new top preference, you can accept the new offer and decline the previous one.
If you don't receive your first preference, you can apply for new course preferences at the next application round. You may wish to accept your current offer, then decline it if you are made a new offer at the next round.
If you didn’t get the ATAR you need for your top preference, contact us to chat about your options and we’ll help you find the right course. It’s a good idea to keep your top choice as your first preference as adjustment factors may be applied.
If you didn't get the ATAR you need for entry to any of your preferred courses, you still have options! From our Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation to our generalist undergraduate degrees, there are plenty of admission pathways to get where you want to go. Contact us to chat about your options, and we'll help you find the right course.
Yes, you can apply through the Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program and Schools Recommendation Scheme, accept your offer and still receive an offer through UAC’s preference rounds.
If you meet the selection rank requirements for your preferred course, but you didn't receive an offer at the first round, there is still a chance you could be made an offer in a later round. Some of our more competitive courses fill quickly, and if a place becomes available, you could be made an offer. It's a good idea to accept your first offer to secure your place in case the course you have your eye on has been filled.
You can preference five courses via UAC. Choose the top five courses that you are most interested in, ranking them in order of your preferences. We suggest that you put the course that you are most interested in – you guessed it – as number one.
If you're happy with the order of your preferences, you don't have to change a thing. If you wish to change your preferences, you can do so as many times as you like before the closing date for each round – even if you've already accepted an offer.
Your selection rank is your ATAR plus any adjustment factors.
Adjustment factors are schemes that consider your personal circumstances in Year 12. Adjustments don't change your ATAR – they change your selection rank. Read more about adjustment factors.
